Are You Ready for Quitting Forever?

People do better when they are offered a menu to select from.

Basically there are just two options on the menu when it comes to alcohol and drug use:

1. Continue to drink or use drugs.

a. Make no changes in what you are doing.

b. Attempt to control, limit or reduce the harm.

2. Stop drinking alcohol and using drugs. Once you have stopped and are detoxed the question is for how long?

a. One-day at a time or one-urge-at a time or both.

b. Quit forever and never drink or use drugs again.

People are Quitting Forever all the time.

Qutting Forever is one option. You can always continue to drink or use drugs. Alcohol and drugs are there for the purchase and sometimes just for the asking. If you try to control your use to reduce harm, there is a risk you might use more often or use more then you intended and you will be loaded again. If you go one-day at a time, you will not be sure of what you may do tomorrow and there is a risk of drinking or using again. Quitting Forever is not words in your head but something you do. Your experience will tell you when you have completed quitting forever. Quitting Forever will leave you sure you are not drinking alcohol or using drugs again.
